Safe for Kids
The Safe For Kids meta tag is a PICS label which can be recognised by web browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 when suitably configured by parents or teachers.
It has been reported that Netscape will also support PICS labels in the next versions of its browsers. Also that web directories including Yahoo, Excite and Lycos will list only sites which carry ratings. It seems unlikely (perhaps even unwise) that they will go so far but it would be great to see the directories enabling search by rating categories.
